Hi!!!
Wow, I haven't posted since April 2012. In three days that would be 2 years. Damn. I used to live on here.

Let's see - what's happened since I last posted:

Got promoted at work to community manager and transferred to a new location in 05/2012, my divorce was finalized in 06/2012, got married in 09/2012, had my first baby Kennedi Sue on 3/14/13 and just had my second baby, Mackenzie Jean on 4/10/14 and have off for another 7 weeks for maternity leave.

Yup, that pretty much sums it up.

Crazy end of year days
So it's the end of year at work and apparently they expect us to get all our units rented because they want as little inventory as possible for the new year. Needless to say, it's frakkin crazy. And it doesn't help that I'm doing more and more of my boss's work every day. Some of the stuff she can't figure out how to do and some of the stuff she's too lazy to do. Like dealing with the maintenance guys and getting them to get stuff done. Apparently because she has me give the orders, I'm a bossy bitch. That's what one of the guys told one of the other maintenance guys at a sister park. Oh well.

Hopefully once we meet our commitment, it'll slow down a bit. YEAH RIGHT.

I had to go to court today with the manager because she can't seem to do anything by herself. I ended up testifying for all of the cases and my greatest moment of achievement is when our attorney said the wrong address for a three day notice we posted and when he expected me to say yes, I said no. I looked up at the judge and he gave me a thumbs up for actually paying attention instead of just agreeing with everything the attorney said.

I may not post a lot, but I'm still around. If I miss a day reading posts, I do get caught up in a day or two.

♥ to you all!

A Sad Day
Photobucket

Today Billy and I had to put Snoopy down. He had a great life. He's been with us since 2002 and when we adopted him, the lady at the shelter said she thought he was around 2 years old. Now I suspect he was around 4 years old, but he was with us a long time. He was a spoiled rotten brat, but I suspect in heaven there's a nice warm bed with a pillow-top mattress, a featherbed, and a down comforter for him to sleep on, just like he did here every night. RIP Snoopy. We love you and life seems completely different without you already. ♥

I'm sorry I haven't been around much. With Snoopy getting sick and losing 12 pounds in under 2 weeks and the craziness of my job, I haven't had much time for anything anymore. But I'm still reading entries three or four times a week, never missing anything because I play catch-up to the last post I read previously.

NaNoOhNo
This will be my first year ever not winning. I've come to accept it, so it's all good. I'll try and get something else done on my story when I can, but this month has been crazy busy with the new job, training in Michigan for 3.5 days, and Thanksgiving.

Go kick some ass, moreteadk.

FML
In short, I'm ready to poke myself in the eye with a fork.

I'm going to Michigan tomorrow afternoon for my training until Friday evening. I have so much to do before I can go. I'm not done packing, I have so much to do at work, I still have a Criminal Justice final to take, and then tonight I got stuck going to a meeting I didn't really have to be at which led to going out to dinner with the boss and Bonnie. When we got back to work and I got in my car to go home, my car wouldn't start. Billy 'fixed' it this weekend by putting a new negative cable onto the battery. Now it seems like the battery is dead or not getting enough juice. It tries to crank over, but can't. Now I have to deal with that tomorrow morning while I'm at work. I'm going to have one of the maintenance guys look at it and see if everything was put together right. If it's the battery, he'll have to run me to an auto parts store and then put it in for me. I'm just ready to pull my hair out and scream. Or curl up in a ball and cry.

I won't have internet access while I'm at the hotel unless they have computers in the lobby, so if anyone needs me, text me. If you need my cell phone number, send me a message before 2pm tomorrow and I'll get back to you.

NaNo Update
I'm slowly chipping away at words here and there, but it hasn't been easy. I get into a flow, but then I have to go to work or bed or something comes up. I really don't know if I'll finish this year. I leave for Michigan Tuesday afternoon for my training and I'll be there until Friday afternoon. Billy has the laptop so if I get any writing done it will have to be longhand and typed up when I get home. I don't know how much I'll be able to do, but I'm going to try and do something. And Thanksgiving will be a loss too because my sister and the kids will be coming out. Of course, I'd rather have them come out than work on NaNo, but I'll miss it too.

NaNo
NaNo will definitely kill me this year. I didn't get to write until Wednesday for the first time and I only wrote 300+ words. I didn't get back to it until today. I managed to put in some solid time today and I'm now sitting at 7717 words. Back at it tomorrow.

NaNo
Finally set up my profile at the new NaNo site. But I'm annoyed because the badges they have aren't the same size as the ones from last year. Now my profile looks all screwy. LOL I guess there are worse things in life, eh?

13 October 2011 @ 12:19 am
Wow, the NaNo site is really different. I can't believe it's only 18 days away. I need to get cracking and write my three papers for Criminal Justice that I have left and then I'll completely be done with that class (even though it technically lasts until November 20 or something) and will only have my Algebra left which barely takes any time to complete each week because I find it way too easy. I'll have the CJ papers written by Sunday - that's my goal. I'm pretty sure I'll accomplish it too because Billy is home for the next two days and goes back to work on Saturday which means I'll have all the time in the world Saturday and Sunday to concentrate.

Boy, I'm full of run-on sentences tonight, aren't I?

Stephanie Plum
So I tried to read the Stephanie Plum books a few years back, but I couldn't get in to them. I gave them another shot and I seem to love them now. I read the first book in one day and I'm halfway through the second book now. I got the first six books at the library the other day, so when I get close to finishing them, I'll check the library website to make sure they have the next ones and if they don't, I'll request them from the other libraries.

When it rains, it pours
Please everyone keep Billy in your prayers. He had a major accident at work today while he was unloading a truck. He sliced his leg open pretty deep over an artery and had to get rushed to the ER in Connecticut. He has 14 stitches and he's out now, but he still has to see if he can even drive to get home. I'm afraid of it reopening as he drives because he was told not to stand on it for 10-14 days to let it heal. I know how stubborn he is though and he just wants to get home.

It's been a long time
Things have been crazy and I haven't had a chance to put together a post. Scratch that, I really haven't wanted to take the time to put together a post. I've learned a lot in the last few weeks.

♥ - Living in a trailer park is really as bad as they say it is. People are in your business all the time and gossip gets spread around all the time.

♥ - I really don't like widescreen flat panel monitors. When flat panels originally came out, I made sure I bought one that was square, like the huge monitors that always came with computers. Well today my monitor decided not to turn on, almost as if it's flashing back and forth between sleep mode and on mode. Neither Billy nor I could get it working, so I had to go buy a new one. I don't like widescreen monitors at all. It makes all my icons look weird.

♥ - I really miss writing. I need to get back to it and I need to get back to it soon.

♥ - I really want a puppy, but I know I can't have one. I was never ever around a puppy in my life and I really wish I had been. They are so adorable and cute and playful.

♥ - I have a job interview on Tuesday for a transcription job. It's second shift which isn't my first choice, but I can wear jeans and a hoodie everyday to work and I was even told to wear that to the interview.

♥ - Putting together a post is a lot harder than I remember. Maybe I'll update again with more this weekend.

Doom and Gloom
I've been gradually getting sick over the past few days, but the other night when I couldn't breathe, Katie took me to the ER. It appears I have bronchitis. I'm taking antibiotics and steroids and they gave me an inhaler. I'm on my second day of antibiotics so i'm hoping sleeping tonight comes easier. I tend to sleep for 30 minutes at a time and then I wake up from coughing or difficulty breathing and then it's hard to fall back asleep.

Nit having a good month in general, so I'll be glad when February ends and March rolls in. It's gotta be better, right?

Resolution Failed
Am I surprised? No. In fact, I never thought I'd be able to get past a month of posting daily.

After that post from the other day some things got better and some got worse. We got our tax returns back and I've fixed up my office a lot. We're also buying the second car within the next week.

Other than that, it's all good for now. I'll try and get back to posting everyday, but we'll see.

Day 39
Nothing new on the Billy/accident front. The sheriff didn't call me back which was expected so we won't know anything new until Billy goes to pick up the ticket when he gets home.

I did get my state tax return though so I called Buckeye and they are coming out to hook up our cable on Friday. That means I get to see Hockey Day in Canada on CBC. Oh, how I've missed the CBC channel and Hockey Night in Canada. The NHL network just doesn't cut it. I also paid some bills, ordered a new phone system for the house, and will be going out to dinner tonight with Katie. Go me.

Day 38
Today has not been such a good day. On Saturday during the storm, Billy left for work and when he got his trailer, there was a lot of snow on the top. The company doesn't remove the snow and he has no way to do it. He was denied passage on the turnpike, so he decided to take a back road where he knew there was a bridge that would knock off most of the snow. Before he got to the bridge, there was a car off the side of the road and a truck had stopped (on his side of the road) facing the opposite direction, presumably to help. A car in front of Billy stopped and Billy stopped behind her. When it was clear that the lady in front of him wasn't going to move, Billy chose to go around the woman since he had enough room and it was clear. He went around her and didn't think anything else about it.

A few miles down the road, a cop came up behind Billy and pulled him over and told him the woman claimed he flew around her fast and hit her mirror. Billy is not one to lie about anything, so I believe him. he told the cop I didn't hit her car and when the cop walked around his truck, he couldn't find any evidence that would say he did hit her. It's possible snow may have fallen off his roof and hit her mirror, but his truck or trailer did not hit it. The cop told him since he couldn't find any damage, he wasn't writing a ticket.

Today Billy gets a call from the sheriff's office and the sheriff tells him he has to write him a ticket because there is damage to the woman's car and a witness. The witness is someone that was sitting in this lady's car - of course they are going to lie to support their friend. Billy has to stop and pick up his ticket on the way home. It may be for a hit and run, but Mr. K. said they can't really charge him with that because there is no intent. He didn't hit the woman so he wouldn't be acutely aware of driving away from the "accident."

Right now we're waiting for Billy to get the ticket and then we're going to fight it. In 23 years of professional driving, he's never once had a chargeable accident. He truly believes snow fell off his trailer and hit her mirror and is adamant he never hit her mirror. The truck that was stopped in front of the woman was further over to the left than her car, so he would have hit that truck and not that lady's car. And let's face it, if his trailer would've swung around and hit her mirror, there would be other damage to her car than just her mirror.

I am on fire because of all of this. Something that Billy didn't do (or if it was the snow falling, it wasn't his fault) is going to count against him with his job and his super clean record.

P.S. This was a real update, wasn't it? I'd almost wish that nothing like this happens again so my posts can just be boring again.

Day 36
So we finally have our cable back, local channels and all! It took them until 8pm last night to fix it, which means it was out at least 60 hours. Have I mentioned how much I hate Primecast?

Normally I'd have a lot of stuff on my DVR to watch, but since nothing could record since we didn't have cable, I have nothing on it so I'm watching Season 10 of Stargate SG-1 again.

And now it's snowing again. I hear it's really slippery outside and I haven't seen any plows go down Hill yet, so I'm sure it's quite nasty. They wouldn't even let Billy on the turnpike half an hour ago with his truck to start his run. What the heck.
Rhonda
04 February 2011 @ 03:24 pm
Day 35
Cable is still not fixed and now we've lost all our channels. Bill is paid and they keep delaying and saying someone's working on it, even though no one is here working on it. They'll tell us they are on site and I can clearly see that they aren't anywhere near the community equipment. This is getting ridiculous. I actually contact the local news about this situation and the runaround we're getting from Primecast and filled out the little Call to Action complaint form. I'm about ready to pull my hair out.
Rhonda
03 February 2011 @ 05:55 pm
Day 34
Cable is still out which means no local channels. Beyond pissed is the word. They lied to the park manager and said someone was actually fixing it while she was on the phone with them when she could clearly see out the window and there was no one there. Supposedly it's supposed to be fixed tonight or tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath.

it finally did get me off my ass to call Buckeye and set up new service with them though. We'll be getting them back within the next 10 days and Primecast can go kiss my ass.

Also got offered the chance to go to Florida for one week with Bonnie (the park manager) and her husband, Mike. Not sure yet if I'm going to go since there's a lot to take care of in my absence, but I'm thinking about it. Bonnie doesn't want to be bored and Mike never wants to do anything, so she asked me to join them. All I'd need to pay for is my own meals and anything we need to do down there. We'd leave next Friday afternoon, otherwise known as "The Day the Tax Refund Gets Deposited."

Vacation without Billy or an iPad. A difficult decision...
Rhonda
02 February 2011 @ 07:06 pm
Day 33
I'm about ready to cut a bitch. Primecast are the biggest cocksuckers in the world. They are the community's cable provider through DirectTV. As normal, with any moisture outside, we no longer have local or HD channels. Happens every time. They've been gone since at least 10am this morning when I got up and they were still working at 5am when I went to bed. So the guy doesn't do any research and says that my account is past due by 4 days and that's why my locals and HD channels aren't working. I was like oh, really? My account is past due and you didn't turn off all the channels and take my internet and phone? You just turned off certain channels? Bull shit.

I can't wait to go back to Buckeye. I'll pay more for them, but at least the TV service won't constantly be down. I would say the local channels and HD channels are down at least 25% of the month.
Rhonda
01 February 2011 @ 05:01 pm
Day 32
There is snow coming!!! I think it's down to like 6 inches now and a bunch of ice, but I'll take it since I don't have anywhere to go anyway. Bring it on!!
